DO I NEED A REFERRAL FROM A DOCTOR?

Nope! Kinesiologists are considered primary health care providers, so a referral is not required.
However, some insurance companies may require a doctor’s referral for reimbursement — please check with your insurance provider before booking.

CAN INFORMATION BE SHARED WITH MY DOCTOR?

Yes! I believe in open communication among all of your healthcare providers. With your permission I will gladly provide your healthcare team with relevant assessment and treatment information.

WILL MY VISIT BE COVERED BY OHIP?

No. However please follow up with your insurance provider for reimbursement.

CAN YOU BILL MY INSURANCE DIRECTLY?

No, payment is required at the end of each session. I will provide you with a receipt with all of the information your insurance provider needs, so you can be reimbursed.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT AT AN APPOINTMENT?

At your initial assessment, please arrive 10 minutes early with your initial assessment forms completed. We will spend one hour together to discuss, examine, assess in detail, and treat your area(s) of concern.
Treatment may include manual therapy, soft tissue release, movement retraining, exercise prescription and acupuncture. I’m here to give you the tools to feel better and prevent re-injury.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO AN APPOINTMENT?

Please wear loose-fitting clothing that is comfortable that allows any injured or affected areas to be easily viewed and accessed. Queen Bay Health Clinic also provides shorts for the treatment if preferred.
